Driveshaft Remanufacturing
Conserving resources through remanufacturing - the alternative to buying new
Welte Cardan-Service Remanufacturing offers a high-quality alternative to buying new driveshafts. Thanks to our specialized remanufacturing process, we ensure that every driveshaft that leaves our company meets the highest quality standards and is therefore in no way inferior to a new driveshaft in terms of performance and reliability. Our customers not only benefit from a cost-efficient offer, but also make a valuable contribution to sustainability and resource conservation.
The remanufacturing process begins with the disassembly of the driveshaft, whereby all wear parts, such as universal joints and center bearings, are removed. At the same time, the driveshaft is carefully checked for further damage.
The old paintwork and traces of corrosion are removed when the cardanshaft is sandblasted. This is a prerequisite for the professional installation of the reconditioned driveshaft and also ensures that the driveshaft is visually comparable to a new product.
We focus on the highest quality for our spare parts and therefore only use components from our EDS - ALL DRIVESHAFT brand. This guarantees a product service life on a par with new parts.
In the next step of the remanufacturing process, the driveshaft is professionally assembled by our trained staff. This is done in accordance with our ISO 9001 quality management system to ensure consistently high quality during assembly.
Cardanshafts are balanced according to standard on special machines. These machines can be used to balance cardanshafts up to a length of 10 meters and a connection diameter of 550 mm.
To ensure that each drive shaft can be clearly identified, they are engraved before painting. The drive shafts are then washed. In combination with the preceding sandblasting, this ensures a high paint quality and thus sufficient corrosion protection.
The remanufactured drive shafts are packaged individually in special cardboard boxes in a safe and resource-saving manner.
Benefits of remanufacturing
- Conservation of resources - industrial remanufacturing reduces the amount of resources required, saving around 70% of steel compared to new production
- Quality on a par with new parts - remanufactured products undergo tests and quality controls, which ensures their reliability and performance
- Waste reduction within the supply chain - remanufacturing generates less waste than new production
- Cost savings - remanufacturing is cheaper than buying new
- Short delivery times - thanks to our extensive range of spare parts and our trained specialists, the drive shaft can be remanufactured and delivered in the shortest possible time
- Better product availability - remanufactured products can help to bridge bottlenecks in the availability of new products. Remanufacturing also offers the option of retaining the drive shaft if, for example, the product is no longer in production
