The Welte Group, a full-range supplier of cardan shafts, consistently focuses on digitalization and transparency in its processes. For our retail customers, this means that they can keep an eye on stock levels in real time directly in their own system. And if something is not in stock but is urgently needed, we deliver it overnight by express.

Even if the cardan shaft appears to be a rather simple component at first glance, there is a lot of complexity in the details: tube lengths, diameters, universal joints, gearings and center bearings are combined by OE manufacturers in almost infinite variants. Keeping an overview is a top priority for us as an aftermarket specialist. This is because we can only supply our customers with complete shafts, center bearings and EDS and EDS PLUS brand components with pinpoint accuracy by precisely matching the components to the respective applications.

Customized labelling and packaging

The Welte Group also focuses on perfect customer service when it comes to the product itself. β€œWhen it comes to packaging solutions in particular, there is a wide range of specifications - whether OEM, export or individual requirements for our own packaging management. We focus entirely on the needs of our customers and can map everything that is required,” says KΓΌck. β€œEven if you don't have these aspects in mind at first, they are essential for day-to-day business.” This also applies to the customer-specific marking of drive shafts and components - because an effective marking system is the basis for end-to-end digitalization.

Strong logistics on site

Welte Cardan-Service GmbH relies on high-performance logistics to ensure that the parts from the high-bay warehouse reach the customer and the vehicle as quickly as possible. 26.7 percent of all orders leave the company site within 24 hours of receipt - including express delivery.

Alexander Welte explains: β€œThe figure may seem low at first glance, but our trading partners are regularly supplied with the fast movers according to schedule. The orders mentioned are orders outside of these contracts - our aim is to ensure that the parts arrive at the retail partner or directly at the workshop as quickly as possible to avoid downtime.”
